I have painted from an early age, although am not formally trained as a painter. I work with a sense of freedom, enjoying painting as a form of expression, language and healing - colour, movement, dynamism and rhythm play important parts in my work.

There's an immediacy in my painting which aims to capture the essence of a place, moment or experience but also reaches beyond that to the eternal and a sense of change. My personal sense of awe and reverence for nature is captured in line and tone, from the macro to the micro.

Landscapes for me are alive and living, and I revere them through an emotional lens.
I feel the landscape reaches out to me as I reach out for it. For me it is a marvel and a mystery. I look up, out, down and inside myself and paint, with tenderness.

Through pattern, composition, balance, drama and emotion a moment is refracted in paint.

I'm currently living and painting in Jersey.
I studied Social Anthropology at Manchester University and am also a qualified Craniosacral Therapist, Homoepath, Shamanic Healer, Esoteric Astrologer and am studying Herbal Medicine.
