Francesca Warner has painted from an early age, although she's not formally trained as a painter. She works with a sense of freedom, enjoying painting as a form of expression, language and healing - colour, movement, dynamism and rhythm play important parts in her work.

There's an immediacy in Francesca's painting which aims to capture the essence of a place, moment or experience but also reaches beyond that to the eternal and a sense of change. Her personal sense of awe and reverence for nature is captured in line and tone, from the macro to the micro.

Landscapes for her are alive and living, and she reveres them through an emotional lens.
Francesca feels the landscape reaches out to her as she reaches out for it. For her it is a marvel and a mystery. She looks up, out, down and inside herself and paints, with tenderness.

Through pattern, composition, balance, drama and emotion a moment is refracted in paint.

Francesca lives and paints in Jersey.
She studied Social Anthropology at Manchester University and is a qualified Craniosacral Therapist, Homoepath, Shamanic Healer, Esoteric Astrologer and is currently studying Herbal Medicine.
